| Presenter's Short Biography | Dr. Cameron Rose has served as the Director of Choral Activities at The University of Texas at Tyler since 2008 and previously served in music administration with the Los Angeles Philharmonic / Hollywood Bowl. As a composer, Dr. Rose's works have been performed by numerous ensembles and soloists, including the Tabernacle Choir and Orchestra at Temple Square. An accomplished pianist, he performed as the youngest of 84 "Rhapsody in Blue" pianists in the 1984 Los Angeles Summer Olympics Opening Ceremonies. His degrees in conducting and music composition are from Brigham Young University, University of Minnesota, University of Southern California and The University of Utah. |

| Session Title | The Friendly Fermata: A Conducting Refresher |
| Session Description | Often overlooked or undertaught, how many fermate have been forgotten since college studies? Is it long? short? syncopated? followed by a rest or no breath at all? Rose will provide an energetic review of how to easily conduct a variety of fermate, together with a refresher on other musical speedbumps faced by both instrumental and choral conductors alike. |
