OkMEA Outstanding Collegiate Music Education Student Award

This honor is to recognize collegiate music education students who are in their junior or senior year at the time of nomination who have demonstrated outstanding leadership and practice of music education.

Minimum qualifications:
1. Must be a junior or senior music education student.
2. Must be a current member of Collegiate NAfME/OkMEA.
3. Must be a current member of their institution’s CNAfME chapter (if one exists).
4. Must have demonstrated excellence in leadership, as evidenced by peer or administrator statements.
5. Must have demonstrated personal and academic growth as a music education student.

Honors Nomination Information

To submit a nominee, please complete the form by September 15The Awards and Recognition committee will meet to choose the recipients from the qualifying nominations. The committee will recommend their choices to the OkMEA executive board at their October meeting for final approval. After selection, the laureate must provide, before October 15, a picture and short professional biography to the Editor of Oklahoma Music.
