Presenter's Short Biography	David Pope serves an Associate Professor of Music Education at the Baldwin Wallace Conservatory of Performing Arts. He has presented string pedagogy clinics and his research at the European String Teachers Congress, the ASTA National Conference, The Midwest Clinic, and numerous regional/state conferences. He is the current String Research Journal editor and recently served as a co-author for Sound Orchestra and a co-editor for Teaching Music Through Performance in Orchestra (Vol. 4).

Session Title	Creating a Successful, Engaging, and Fun String Class
Session Description	This session will provide engaging exercises and rehearsal strategies that will excite middle school string students while developing the proper playing position, bow hold, bowing motion, accurate left-hand shape, and music reading skills. Attendees will leave with games and rehearsal strategies they can immediately incorporate into their classrooms.
