Session TitleMind the Gap: Crossing the Clarinet Break Demystified
Session Description

In this presentation, I will present my tips for helping clarinetists of all ages learn to cross the register change on the instrument smoothly. This includes recognizing and correcting common issues and demonstrating exercises to help students overcome this potentially challenging skill. The tools I will demonstrate will be useful for both middle and high school band directors and clarinet instructors.

This presentation will be largely based on my forthcoming article on the same subject from the Vandoren WAVE, which can be found here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1PKUhtk3dYhVOUTq2dHOQrsg4AHftQDQL5KxNpHpfwhM/edit?usp=sharing
