Session Proposals

Emma Boone is currently a masters student studying wind conducting at the University of Oklahoma. Before pursuing grad school, she served as the Director of Bands at Whittier High School in Southern California. Ms. Boone earned her undergraduate degree in Music Education as well as her teaching credential at the University of California, Los Angeles. While a student there, she was the Drum Major of the UCLA Bruin Marching Band. In addition to her work with the University of Oklahoma's concert ensembles and the Pride of Oklahoma Marching Band, Emma has been an instructor for the Blue Devils B Corps, Drum Major Leadership Academy, and various high school marching programs.

This clinic will guide attendees in identifying their personal productivity styles and discovering organizational methods that best suit their needs. Participants will explore questions about their habits, learning styles, and workflow preferences while being introduced to a variety of tools and techniques for calendaring, task management, and digital organization. Topics include maximizing calendar functionality, finding the best task management strategies for different mindsets, and utilizing tablets, apps, and spreadsheets to enhance rehearsal planning, score study, and program management. Attendees will leave with practical strategies and resources to streamline their daily lives, boost productivity, and make the most of their time and energy.
