| Session Title | The Beginner Strings Stream: Pacing in a Young Strings Classroom |
| Session Description | By rote? By sight and comprehension? By improv? We don't have to choose one technique when teaching beginner string musicians, but it can be difficult to find a balance in our classroom teaching. Through this session, I hope that I am able to offer materials to assist in the teaching of each of these techniques in your classroom through engaging games, lesson plans, and best of all- a workbook! We all have goals as to what we would like our students to know by the end of their first year of instruction- these materials are an offering to assist you in reaching your goals with a steady pace of introduction of new materials with the balance of repetition of past material. |
