| Presenter's Short Biography | Sandy Knudson holds a M.M.E. and Kodály certification from The University of Oklahoma. Since 1990, Sandy has served on the faculty of The University of Oklahoma Kodály certification program teaching solfege, conducting, and choir. Sandy successfully taught K-5 music for 30 years and is now Director Emeritus with Oklahoma Youth Sing!, a community choir for 3rd-12th grade. Well-known as a clinician and master teacher, Sandy has presented at numerous state and national conferences and continues to mentor young teachers. After using dance extensively in her elementary music classroom, Sandy became a member of Scissortail Traditional Dance Society and the Country Dance & Song Society in the fall of 2008. She has joyously become a dance caller and organizer. Sandy has called at open mic events, at music education conferences, in schools, family dances and weddings, and regularly calls in Oklahoma City and Norman, OK. She is a member of the CDSS board, joining in 2024. |

| Session Description | Let's bring our music education community together by connecting with each other through dancing! jacob Chen and Sandy Knudson will lead variours dances with LIVE music. Though these dances are intended for dancing as adults, you can take these dances and use them in your own classroom. No partner or prior dance experience needed! |
