| Presenter's Short Biography | Mike Christiansen is Professor Emeritus in the Music Department at Utah State University. He was Director of Guitar Studies at USU for 39 years. His awards include: Utah State University Professor of The Year, Caine College of the Arts Professor of the Year, and a U.S. Carnegie Professor of the Year. He has been a TED speaker. He has authored/co-authored over 40 guitar and ukulele instruction books and appears on hundreds of instruction videos. He works as a soloist, with the Brazilian group, Evening in Brazil, with the Lightwood Duo, and the band, Mirage. |

| Session Description | With over 55 years of experience in teaching private and classroom guitar, renown guitar educator and author of over 40 books, Mike Christiansen, will answer your questions regarding anything to do with teaching classroom guitar. Beginning in 1980, Mike has presented at hundreds of MEA conferences. He will share valuable information from his own experiences and the experiences of thousands of guitar educators. In the unlikely event there are no questions, Mike will present tips on what goes in to having a successful, well-balanced guitar class. Bring your questions. |
