Jazz Ensemble was named most outstanding by OSSAA five times, Phillips University one time, Greater Southwest Music Festival (Amarillo, TX) one time, NSU Jazz Festival one time, and the University of Tulsa one time
The Jazz Ensemble was selected by Jazz Tours International to tour Europe for tow weeks
The Jazz Ensemble was selected by MENC to perform at the National Convention in Omaha, NE in 1977
